Individual

As a new mom, we are often told that pregnancy and welcoming a child into the world should be a happy, joyous time. After birth, many parents report difficulty with the transition to motherhood, changes in mood and anxiety, trouble connecting with their new baby, or struggles maintaining social relationships with partners, family members, or friends. It is okay to have conflicting feelings about motherhood. Parenting is a big job and there is no step-by-step manual to help you through the role. It can be difficult to manage your child’s behavior or know what to do in every situation and it is common to feel overwhelmed, stressed, and unsure about how to navigate each phase. Particularly with young children who are constantly developing and changing, it can be challenging to figure out how to best support your child. Whether you feel like you need extra support, something does not feel right with your child’s development or behavior, others are sharing concerns about your child, or your family has experienced a significant life event, I can help you explore your concerns, develop routines and find new strategies for relating to your child’s unique temperament, creating more ease in your day-to-day activities and interactions while maintaining a strong parent-child relationship.
